Description

The earliest porcelain jars were used in China for storing and exporting salt, spices and oil. The jars first became sought after as decorative items in the 18th and 19th century. This modern example features floral and leafy designs on a coloured background, the jar in traditional style and shape with characteristic lid, beautiful for placing on a deep bookshelf or side table.
