The Fiddle-leaf Fig is having ‘a moment’. Dominating Instagram with its splash of big, green violin-shaped leaves (hence the name), it softens the edges of any room with simplicity and serenity. But, despite an outward appearance of calm, fiddle plants can be a tad demanding, complaining about draughts, soil that’s too wet or too dry, too much sun – or too little. Not this lovely botanically-correct specimen! It thrives contentedly, with glorious green-ness, in the darkest, draughtiest corner of your home or the most cheerless north-facing windowsill, without water, sunshine or pampering of any kind.
